In addition to our usual enquiries prior to booking, we will ask you the following questions over the phone or by email:
- Have you had the recent onset of a continuous cough within the last 14 days?
- Do you have a high temperature?
- Have you noticed a loss of or change in your normal sense of taste or smell in the last 14 days?

In line with government guidelines, clients are required to wear a face covering, in addition to following our social-distancing measures.
Clients visiting the Hair & Make Up Bar studio for appointments are permitted to remove their face covering for their treatment (as face or eye mask treatment, or makeup service) their stylist will be wearing a face protection during this time and maintaining a social distance of two metres before and after the treatment.
Customers will be asked to wear their face covering when re-entering the store.
Should you wish to cancel an appointment, we will fully refund any deposit monies paid, provided that you notify us of your intention to cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment time. If you miss your appointment or notify us of your intention to cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment time, your deposit will not be refunded. In unavoidable circumstances, we may need to rearrange or cancel your booking. In these instances, we will liaise with you to arrange a new appointment or treatment at a convenient time.
You can pay for bookings using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, you can also pay using a Studio Gift Card. For online payment you will be asked full or deposit payments, please check each services individually.
The safety and wellbeing of our clients and colleagues remains our highest priority.
In line with government guidance, we have introduced significant measures around the studio and service areas to support social distancing. If you require assistance or additional support please let us know when making your appointment by phone on 01189598557 or leave as a note on your booking system. We will be implementing enhanced hygiene protocols to protect clients and our Hair & Make Up Bar team.
Additional time has been allocated between each appointment slot to ensure work stations and tools are fully sanitised before the next client’s arrival. This includes handheld mirrors, hair dryers, tool cables, trolleys, and chairs. Tools, brushes and styling product kits will be handled solely by the service provider, and the kit will be sanitised after each appointment.
Regular hand washing will be implemented by all salon staff, including washing hands ahead of entering the salon. Service providers will also wash their hands before each stage of the service: before consultation, during the service where
appropriate, and after the service.
When towels and gowns are used, the removal and laundry process will follow a rigorous protocol to protect employees and clients.
We will provide you with professional, personalised advice based on your lifestyle, personality, and facial features, to ensure that colour treatment will suit you best. Our skilled team will provide this service alongside welcome drinks and small goodie bag for you. During this session we will do a patch test which is required at least 48 hours before your colour appointment patch testing and mini goody bag! All parking is on-street with some restrictions in front of the salon so we recommend that you allow time to find a space, especially during peak times. We ask that you aim to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your treatment (or 10 minutes for new clients) as your appointment time is the start time of your treatment. Regretfully time constraints dictate that treatments may need to be cut short if you are late and you will still be charged for the full treatment.
Although we do our best to avoid this, there may be an occasion when your stylist is running behind and we apologise for this, no time will be taken from your treatment.
We pride ourselves on our customer service and client satisfaction and want to ensure that you receive the best service possible, however if we haven’t nailed it this time please contact us by sending an email [email protected] as soon as possible.

We reserve the right to refuse a booking or prevent admission to the salon at our discretion. In the unlikely event that we deem a client’s behaviour to be abusive or inappropriate towards our staff or other clients they will be asked to leave the salon immediately.
